After questionning a few of the people she had met at Lady Sally's, Inara decided that she needed to purchase a cell phone. It seemed easy enough to use, as they had had similar devices on the Core Planets back home. But after the business with the Cube, Inara felt is was a better safe than sorry, kind of situation. And it wasn't that she had a lot of people to call, for she didn't. But the people who did need or want to get in touch with her should be able to readily. Bruce and Simon specifically. She also thought Lady Sally and her husband Mike Callahan should both have her number in case of emergencies.

So, after a light breakfast of tea, a bowl of fruit, and two pieces of sourdough toast, Inara dressed and headed out to a shop that sold cell phones. Inara, of course, had no idea what to buy, and was very weary about getting taken by some sort of sham, but she had researched a little bit.

After having made some more substantial money, Inara had also decided that she needed a computer. This thing called the Internet, was very similar to the Cortex and Inara had a breif encounter with it, when she set up an e-mail account for herself at Lady Sally's house.

Inara thought to herself, This is one of those instances where Simon would be helpful. He'd been here a while and he knows both of our worlds well enough to be able to explain things to me.

Inara sighed, but headed in the direction of the cell phone shop anyway.
